Literal “Jumping”

This is a nifty little movie based on a book by Steven Gould. Cool thing is that our minds “jump” all of the time. Just close your eyes and concentrate on a place and time in your life. It could be that trip to Hawaii or your high school graduation. Whatever the moment or event your mind miraculously “jumps” to the place and time and quickly composes a “best of” compendium of various sensations. The ridiculous bit is how fast your brain “sums up” the moment. It subverts time by sending a blazingly fast stream of images past your mind’s eye. Because of this you can reduce an entire year’s worth of experiences down to a few minutes or even a few seconds.
