Watched “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” recently. Always a tough ride for me. I empathize with Linus so much. Dude’s a visionary who convinces a girl to buy into his crazy vision, only for it to go unrealized, much to the girl’s chagrin. She can’t believe she wasted valuable moments of her life waiting for some weirdo’s crazy dream to be realized; “What a fool I was!” she says, “I could’ve had candy, apples and gum, cookies and money and all sorts of things!” But Linus is defiant, steadfast. Angrily insists that his vision is not some pipe dream, even promises to go bigger and bolder the next time he pursues it. That’s what’s up Linus. That’s what’s up.
